Just because it is the weekend, it does not mean God is off. God does not take vacations or time off from doing His marvelous work. We ought to be thankful that He doesn't. God is working around the clock to ensure His purpose is being fulfilled. He works around the clock, covering and keeping us safe from harm. God works around the clock healing us. He works around the clock providing for us. God works around the clock watching over our souls. He works around the clock, fighting battles known and unknown. While we are sleeping, He is working on our behalf. God has not no days off. He constantly and consistently puts us first. We are His top priority.
Most of us know what it feels like to work tirelessly without a break. Some of us know what it feels like to be called on all day. Sometimes it makes you want to quit or stop showing up for a while. Can you imagine showing up every day, 24 hours of the day, answering every call, every complaint, every significant and mediocre thing? In most cases, without a "thank you,"? In most cases, without recognition? Can you imagine being in multiple places, at the same time, ready and available?
God never takes off! You ought to be thankful that He is readily available for you and your children simultaneously. You ought to be grateful that God is readily available for you and your parents simultaneously. You ought to be thankful that He is readily available for you and your friends simultaneously.
Let's tell God thank You. Where would we be if He took a day off when we needed Him?
