Just as a baby rests on their mother, they can feel at ease. They feel safe and comforted by their mother. Even a child can sense nothing can harm them while they are with their mother. They have that much trust in faith in them. Even though some of you may be or may have been at odds with your mother, for whatever reason, they comforted you in the same manner. At one point, she was your shelter (as you were in her womb); she was your protector when you were too young to protect yourself. She was your provider. There were a point and time when she was all you had. There is something about unconditional love that is powerful and comforting. We are just like the baby in the picture, resting on Jesus. Here are some scriptures about comfort today.
Romans 8:37-38 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
2 Corinthians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
Hebrews 13:5 I will never leave you or forsake you.
Let us rest on the back or in the arms of the Lord today and be comforted by Him.
