A Kiss from Rose| July 16th

In the sport of archery, the arrow is shot through the bow onto the target. In life people use words as arrows to shoot into another person or their target. As illustrated in the picture. Also in the picture the arrow is just sitting there, not painful to the target but painful to a person. We all must be mindful of the hurtful words that we say to one another. We must repent and ask God for forgiveness. Free yourself from hurting others and yourself. It takes a lot of energy to hurt someone. If you still have arrows in you, take them out and begin to heal.

1 Peter 3: 9

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

Matthew 12:36

But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken

Colossians 3:8

But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

James 3:9-12

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness.10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.11 Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

Colossians 4:6

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
