Salvation is not just a word we hear in church. It is the very anchor of your soul. It is the gift of grace, the promise of eternal life, and the opportunity to live each day in fellowship with God. It was paid for through the life and sacrifice of Jesus. It is a gift freely given, but not one to be taken lightly.
Each day, we make decisions. Some choices lead us closer to God. Others slowly pull us away. The truth is, we rarely lose our way all at once. It often begins with small compromises, silent agreements with sin, or ignored convictions. And over time, the things that once grieved us now feel normal.
That friendship that keeps drawing you into gossip. That situation that forces you to lie to protect your image. That desire that pulls you into places where God’s voice feels distant. Ask yourself, what is it really costing you?
Every decision carries a weight. Some cost you time. Others cost you your peace. But the greatest cost is when a decision begins to rob you of your closeness with God. That is a loss you cannot afford.
So ask yourself with honesty:
Is your salvation worth losing?
Is the moment you are living in worth what it is doing to your soul?
The temporary things of this world will pass away. But your soul will last forever. Guard it. Value it. Choose wisely.
Ephesians 2:8-9
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
🟢 Meaning: You did not earn salvation by being perfect or doing good deeds. It was given by God through your faith in Jesus. That is why no one can take credit for it.
Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
🟢 Meaning: Sin always brings spiritual death and separation from God. But through Jesus, God offers eternal life as a free gift. We choose life or death with every decision we make.
James 4:8
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
🟢 Meaning: When you intentionally move toward God, He responds with closeness. But your heart and actions must reflect that desire for real change.
Galatians 6:7-8
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”
🟢 Meaning: Every decision plants a seed. If you live only to please yourself, the result is destruction. But when you live to please God, your life bears fruit that lasts forever.
Hebrews 2:1
“Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.”
🟢 Meaning: You cannot live on autopilot in your faith. Without attention and care, you can slowly drift away from what God has told you is true.
1 Corinthians 10:12
“Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.”
🟢 Meaning: Even the strongest believer is vulnerable to falling if they become overconfident or careless. Humility and awareness are protection.
Mark 8:36
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”
🟢 Meaning: You could have wealth, fame, power, and success, but if your soul is lost in the process, it is not worth it. Nothing matters more than your soul.
Philippians 2:12
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed… work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
🟢 Meaning: Salvation is a gift, but how you live it out matters. You must walk carefully and seriously, honoring God with your life every day.
2 Peter 1:10
“Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble.”
🟢 Meaning: Be intentional about living a life that reflects your salvation. When you stay focused on God’s will, you are less likely to fall away.
