A Kiss from Rose| February 20th

This verses that. North versus south. Up versus down. Right versus wrong. Good versus evil. Do you know where you stand? In life, there is a road we all must travel. There are decisions we have to make to get or stay on the right path. Are we making the right ones is the question? Do we say what we mean and mean what we say? Do we stand on our own words? Are the words we speak and preach only good for the goose but not the gander? Meaning I don't have to follow the things that I say. Are we saying this but doing that? Should we be going up but are on a spiral downwards? I am wise enough to know that most people are not consistent in their words or actions. That doesn't mean it has to stay this way. Let's look at some verses that people could be doing, and let's see where we fall:

I am going on a diet/going to start exercising and be fully committed vs. I will have a cheat day today.

I am sticking to my budget vs. This is a one-day sale; I must purchase this no matter what.

I am going to read my bible or something spiritual every day vs. My life is in a good place; I don't need it right now.

I do not particularly appreciate when people are in my business vs. Let me tell you what you need to do.

I am not too fond of a user vs. I don't like this person, but I need them right now.

I don't like this church, vs. I am a member here.

I need help vs. No thank you; I don't need your assistance.

I will not do them as they did me vs. Doing them exactly like how they did you.

I am going to walk this Christian walk vs. Doing everything ungodly.

I am going to help them vs. Forgetting to help those who helped you.

Now imagine God doing the polar opposite of what His word said? Where in the world would we be? Look at the WHAT IF VESUS for God and tell me how would you feel:

I will fight your battles vs. He leaves you to fend for yourself.

I will supply all of your needs vs. He never gave you anything.

My SON will die for your sins vs. Jesus never carried the cross.

You are covered under the blood vs. He takes away His covering.

He said He would never leave you vs. He abandons you.

He gave you power, authority, and dominion vs. He takes it back.

He answers your prayers vs. He never answers.

He says He knows who you are vs. He denounces ever knowing you.

He saved you vs. He gives you to the devil.

He said His word would not come back void vs. His word never checked out.

We may not stand on anything a man says, but we can stand on God. We all must be thankful that God doesn't go back on His word. If God came up with an excuse to not be on the job today, and you were fighting for your life, how would you feel? If God took away His favored promises and you were up for promotion? If you needed some strength to get through a storm, and He said, nope, not today? If God fell short on one thing, would you be ok with it? If God didn't forgive you for your sins, where would you be?

This verses that. North versus south. Up versus down. Right versus wrong. Good versus evil. Do you know where you stand? It's time to figure it out and be consistent; while giving God the praise for knowing where He stands.

Isaiah 55:11

Isaiah 55:11So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;

It shall not return to Me [a]void,

But it shall accomplish what I please,

And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
