A Kiss from Rose| August 24th

When you have walked in a dry place for so long, you are looking for grace and some mercy. When you have been bound the majority of your life with things like abandonment issues, alcoholic and/or drug-addicted parents, you were looking for grace and mercy. When you walked in places where you were invisible or only visible for your beauty or sexuality, you were looking for grace and mercy. When you battled health issues or learning disabilities, you were looking for GRACE and some MERCY. When you were a menace to society, you were looking for grace and mercy. When you sat in a homeless shelter, you were looking for grace and mercy. When you were disobedient to your parent, you too were looking for grace and mercy. When you lied, cheated, stole, and turned your back on God, you also were looking for grace and mercy. When you were lost and could not find your way. You were looking for GRACE and MERCY. When your relationship or marriage failed or struggled, you were looking for GRACE and Mercy. Through countless mistakes, trials, tribulations, storms, and dry places, you were searching for grace and mercy. The grace and mercy only God can give, to be TRANSFORMED. The very thing you were looking for, you already had, when Jesus died on the cross. What you may think are imperfections, are perfection by God. The mistakes you have made are covered by the blood. You have unmerited favor. You have God's compassion

Ephesians 2:8-9

Hebrews 4:16

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

James 2:13

because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
