Do not take the ability to be able to pray for yourself for granted. You can not always count on others to pray for you. Simply, they may not follow through. It doesn't matter if you think you do not know the words to say. Try. Talk to God like He is your best friend because He truly is. Whoever your go-to person is act as if you are talking to them ( with ease and without judgment). That is who God is. God is a person who you can effortlessly talk to. Your secrete is safe with Him. He is the only person who can make all of your favors and blessings come to pass. He is the only person who can make a way out of no way. He is the only person who can authorize the people needed to be in your path. One of my best friends in Philly asked me how do you pray and what do you say to God? Once that conversation was over, they were praying and having conversations all the time with the Man upstairs. So as you go about your Sunday, let's stop and have a talk with God. He wants conversation from us and we need to talk to Him. So I am going to allow you to see what my conversation is like with God today.
Father God, from whom all blessing flow, thank You for waking me up today. Thank You for protecting my house and my family throughout the night. Lord, I thank You for a sound mind. Thank You for filling me with Your presence. God, You are the ultimate parent and I thank You for allowing me to know exactly who You are and to whom I belong. I try my best not to worry about things or people and I miss the mark with that a lot of times. I thank You for giving me another chance to get it right. I try my best to walk in love and I have missed the mark there too, but thank You for allowing me to step forward in the right direction yet again. Thank You for the conviction that I feel when I don't get things right so that I can repent and ask for forgiveness. Thank you for forgiving me. Thank You for choosing me to spread Your word about loving one another and forgiveness. Thank You for this platform. It may not seem like much to others but I know and believe You chose me for a purpose and You will see Your plan through with success and greatness. God, I can not thank You enough for Your covering and protection, yet I am never going to stop trying. You have been showing out in my life and granting me unlimited amounts of grace and mercy. There is no doubt I am Your favored child. You make me feel loved, respected, adored, doted upon, powerful, safe, secure, whole, valid, welcomed, confident, and free. Your word promises me in Luke 6:38, Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. I know I good measures from the seeds I have sown, will be given unto me. I believe this with my whole heart and soul. Continue to keep me covered Lord, as I give You the glory, honor, and praise, In Jesus' name, Amen.
