Friendships cultivate for many reasons and from many origins. When your first friend is the Lord, it is so easy to have healthy and stable friendships. You have a better understanding of what a great friend is, I believe. Key factors such as trust, loyalty, love, respect, dedication, humility, empathy, compassion, kindness, communication, balance, support, unity, selflessness, and a desire to be all of these things to the other person, is needed in any friendship. Understanding that we are not all in the same place at the same time, nevertheless willing to cheer the other on in support, ultimately grows a deeper bond in this union. Just like any other thing in life, there will be good days and bad days also, just don't give up on your friendships. We all need each other. Think about this song words, " What a friend we have in Jesus, all of our sins and grief to bear". Undeniably our friends are no way in comparison, Jesus, however to an extent; they do listen to our sins and griefs none the less. So try your best today to be a better friend. Never let go or stop communicating with your ULTIMATE friend, Jesus Christ.
