Pray for your enemies. It is hard to hate or dislike a person when you are praying for them. As it is hard to pray for someone that hates or dislikes you. However, when you are trying to walk this Christian walk, practicing walking in love, walking under the anointing, walking with the Holy Spirit, and under the word of God; you simply must. Your enemies have trials and tribulations just like you. They too are trying to do the very best they can. The only one able to help them is God. So as we often give ourselves to God, let's give our enemies to God as well.
Father, as I come to the throne of grace giving you the highest praise and thanksgiving, I ask that you cover my enemies today. Father God, penetrate the minds of those who do and speak evil against me. Father, I forgive them, just as you forgive them. They do not know what they are doing. Father cover their family. Send your protective angels around them. Free them of their evil and wicked ways. Father, I pray that they repent of their ways. I pray they walk in love and obey your words. Father, I know no harm will come near me or my family because of the things they say or do, because you are my constant protector. I know I am covered under the blood of Jesus Christ. Father, I ask that we all walk in love and forgiveness today. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
Matthew 5:43-48
You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
