A Kiss from Rose | Arrogance

Arrogance, pride, and a superior complex can fuel fire on the inside of those experiencing it. When someone is walking around boastful and chest poked out while humiliating and dehumanizing others, it makes people fight harder. Fighting harder to be opposite what they see and better than what you think they are. Well, let's take a look at what the word says about it.

Proverbs 16:18 (NIV)

"Pride goes before destruction,

a haughty spirit before a fall."

1 Samuel 2:3 (NIV)

"Do not keep talking so proudly

or let your mouth speak such arrogance,

for the Lord is a God who knows,

and by him deeds are weighed."

Proverbs 3:34 (ESV)

"Toward the scorners he is scornful,

but to the humble he gives favor.[a]"

Psalm 31:18 (NIV)

"Let their lying lips be silenced,

for with pride and contempt

they speak arrogantly against the righteous."

Proverbs 29:23 (NKJV)

"A man's pride will bring him low,

But the humble in spirit will retain honor."

Daniel 5:20 (NIV)

"But when his heart became arrogant and hardened with pride, he was deposed from his royal throne and stripped of his glory."

Proverbs 16:5 (NIV)

"The Lord detests all the proud of heart.

Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished."

Be careful with your actions towards others. Be humble.
